I'm trying not to post too much out of turn but it could be worth mentioning that all the major rivers near Portland are still near flood stage and they've been killing Boy Scouts and others who think they can kayak on that stuff. I'm unfamiliar with what's been happening in the Bay area but one of my students is down there currently (love that word) and I'm sure she's effing some things up. And my friend Athena works for "Save the Bay" around your parts and you've reminded me that I owe her some mail. I've been trying to figure out some Freakangels science for awhile now and have a few ideas that always sound too bizarre when I consider writing on your fine board.
